Again, he's performed better than what we have in the Martinez era, those players were solid unit before. Why can't you see that?

Agreed hes no cannavaro as ive said 2ce on this thread.

Problem is we no leader in defence....who would you go for instead?
 
He was playing Championship until swansea got promoted, has never been courted by a side bigger than Swansea in his career and he's 32, but yeah he's suddenly world class to fit agendas. pap.

Because under correct management, Koeman, he isn't better than what we have, probably not even as good, let's tell the truth now.

don't think anyone is saying he's that good but to say he's not an improvement on what we have (we don't have a defender who can organise the back-line without Jags, who has missed the entirety of pre-season so far due to recurring injuries) is equally as silly, imo...

Arsenal have been very interested and had a bid knocked back last year (£10m).

He isn't world class but he is an improvement.

I don't have names I don't scout the world, are you saying there are no better options than a 32 year old Swansea player. pffft.
 
Look we could go round in circles for ever. I don't rate the lid that highly, not saying he's rubbish far from it but for us, now, not for me. I'll leave it at that.

Swansea got promoted 5 years ago ffs, which means he's had 5 seasons in the PL.

And you're wrong on the second bit as well, as Arsenal courted him for 2 summers
