Erm. He's a terrible captain and everybody knows it. Half decent defender and that's all he's ever been. Like him a lot personally, top personality and good representative for Everton, but that doesn't make him the English Maldini as you're making him out to be.

By contrasting my opinion to an extreme doesn't derail the point. He said miles better than you think yet Maldini was miles better.

We need to rid ourselves of ten geordies amongst out support crying for Williams to have the captaincy because Jagielka has a bad game you absolute knuckle.
 
If he wasn't club captain, Holgate would be playing instead of him. Been a boss servant but it can't be a case of being 1st choice till he's so old and crap, he can't even find a club in League One when he eventually leaves, a la Phil Neville and seemingly Osman, Hibbert etc. Badly needs dropping and used as a squad player, give the captaincy to Williams and Holtgate the opportunity to learn from him

So much wrong with this post. He's had a bad game and now it's time to drop him for a player who's played all of three hours of top flight football? Breathe.

There were two city players for the cross to our one and Williams was going backwards away from them.
