I thought it for a while. Slow, incapable of getting behind Mori when Mori goes up for the ball. Bog standard defending really.

Particularly annoying is his habit of giving away needless fouls when we are desperate for a goal. He did it twice in the closing stages today and allowed Spurs to kill time and score from one of them. 2 new CBs required in the summer.

Even got booked at the end minutes after giving away the free kick that led to winks goal all due to him being a hot head and slow! Again another bad signing

He's not looked as good as he did a couple or so seasons ago at Swansea. Have to remember though that we have or had the 4th best defence in the league in terms of goals conceded. So whilst he has always looked 'uncultured'... he's clearly done something right in previous games.

Problem is he's too old, same with Jags and Baines. Funes is never going to be good enough for a top 6 push either.

Coleman is the only first team defender whose probably still good enough if we want to go to the next level, despite the fact he's forgotten how to cross.

TBH though when you play with 3 holding midfielders you should almost be able to play anyone at CB. If you're getting ripped apart there it's probably a tactical issue rather than personnel. Lucas Leo a that world renowned CB wasn't even troubled when they played Spurs.
