Ashley Williams

I should think he would go to see his own team mate too. Is that supposed to be out of the ordinary?

I don't think people are quite grasping what the issue is, as they keep bringing things up that are completely irrelevant - such as what he did five, ten minutes or an hour later, or that he's "one of our own", whatever that means.

I think everyone recognises that Williams didn't tackle Coleman it was Taylor...yet Williams is taking more flak than Taylor. Doesn't make sense and is an obvious witch hunt.

Think this needs putting to bed. You are trying to convince people that Williams is a villain and get people to turn against him. I really do not know what you expected from a captain of the opposition team in the heat of battle. The reality set in later and he had a consoling word with Seamus and also missed the team coach to see his club team mate in hospital. That's what it is and try as much as you like to disgrace Williams but know he did nothing wrong and you should concentrate more on vilifying the guilty party...Taylor.

What are you aiming to achieve?
There's no hounding of Williams going on. It's a comment echoed by many others that his concern had to be for Coleman above all else. IMO, he's reacted poorly to it and probably knows he did.

A line has to be drawn under it though. It cant be allowed to fester. He's belatedly underlined his concern and I for one accept that.

The issue is Taylors tackle on Coleman. The one that broke his leg yet people are ignoring that and have a problem with Williams.

The thread is about Ashley Williams.

Nobody is ignoring it - I've said in the Coleman thread what I think about that scrote - but this thread is about Williams.

Yes this thread is about Williams but the issue your on about is Taylor. Williams has been hung , drawn and quartered for being captain of the team that Coleman had his leg broken against. Guilty by association. I think not.

I'm as upset as anyone about the tackle... but vilifying our own player is bang out of order. Did he tackle coleman? No...

We should look after our own and not have a witch hunt like this... it's focusing on the wrong player. Taylor is the one who deserves all this hatred not our own.

After my initial fume at Williams in the heat of the moment, I have to say I've calmed down a lot.

Coleman's wellbeing is a far more important worry for me anyway.
I think, on the whole, this thread is a lot calmer than last night. Passions were running high understandably.

We have to support our players on the pitch. Good performances from Williams in the next couple of games will help this I'm sure.

Calmer, yes. Still filled with stupidity. Williams is fine. People are being ridiculous. Taylor is the villain here.

Last night it was vitriolic mate. Even half the mods were at it; the mods needed moderatingo_O. When you're sick to the stomach anyway, seeing all the in fighting on this thread last night was quite upsetting.

Just the usual today so it's a lot better.
