clearly mate, but he's a successful (very) businessman who will be aiming to put in the investment in order to build up the club. he ain't gonna be going 'broke'.
And dear me mate, it's like your describing the on-set of a stroke... he's 31, not 71!
In his prime as a cb having enjoyed a very good season at Swansea and a Euros with Wales. Offers organisation and steel to a defence that has been lacking that.
It won't cost us, we have the money. We're likely going to get £50mil for Stones - more than enough to buy a top-class younger centre-half should they want to join us.
Solid info that. Keep up the good work...or notWell I gave heads up on gueye and there was a medical on 2 others as we know plus that turk?Greek?Serbian fella it does take time and Ron does like his players to be ultra fit before he even considers signing them
My FF mole says won't happen
I do think Moshiri is a very smart businessman. That's one of the reasons why I'm worried that he'll eventually stop spending money on us if moves like this don't work out. It's the gambler's fallacy. Don't throw good money after bad.
At 32 years old, I'm sure he'll be fine this year. Next year at 33, there's a chance he'll slow down. Once he hits 34, it's unreasonable to expect him to be at his best.
My main problem is that we can never recoup this money. We aren't Man City or Chelsea, our money is limited and we need to make sure we are using it wisely.
If this is the only veteran we bring in, I can deal with it. I just don't want this to be our focus going forward. We need to go after young players and only occasionally supplement them with vets to provide experience.

Could be announced this afternoon.
Could.

Please, stop fretting about the money. We're getting around 100mil a year from the TV money, we already have a massive revenue and that will improve.
And it won't be, we have loads of young players though and this squad doesn't need more potential, it needs quality players in the 26-29 range (or really, players in their prime to improve us in the here and now). Williams fits the bill.
Imminent
In all seriousness though I doubt it. Gueye yes, squad numbers... maybe...
Williams, I'd say we're very close but will more likely be Thursday or if we're very lucky Wednesday evening.
How about you stop trying to deliberately wind up blues.Well I gave heads up on gueye and there was a medical on 2 others as we know plus that turk?Greek?Serbian fella it does take time and Ron does like his players to be ultra fit before he even considers signing them
Are you basing this on personal experience? As an office worker aged >30 I would agree that my body has definitely gone downhill, however I am not paid thousands to be a professional athlete. Nowadays modern professional footballers play on into their late 30's as they keep themselves healthy. It's not often these days that they all go down the boozer after training to chain smoke and down a few pints (Jack Wilshere excepted!).
