I don't just mean this. I mean in general all summer. We should be doing much better. It's a similar dynamic to that Moyes Woodward cock up summer.

Edit: in no way am I likening Koeman to Moyes. Just an observation that we are struggling in our transition to a wealthy club.

But the targets we have been aiming for (with the exception of Gueye) aren't run of the mill at all mate. We're going for big names and even Williams is the captain of another PL club - and one of their best players.

It's not like we're struggling to sign Championship players is it?

Also, big difference between the Woodward situation and now. For one, he was in charge of Man Utd, the biggest and richest club in world football, who had just won the league the year before at a canter.

We've finished 11th in the last two years and as big as we are we're nowt compared to Utd.

Personally I think we should be doing much better. The other clubs did not have these difficulties when their money arrived.

we never agreed a deal with Chelsea at all. We rejected four successive bids.

Chelsea also didnt get permission to agree terms like we have.

Ashley will force the move - we'll probably pay a few mill extra the utter snides. Not on the Club this though, they met the valuation they were told.

No, but I heard we had told them a price he could go for but when they made the bid we rejected it because they left it too late.

Different than agreeing a deal in principle mate, which is where you pretty much do everything but the final transaction, so to speak.

They never met our valuation last summer until the night before deadline day. By that time it was too late, which we had informed them several times.

What other clubs?

City, yes they did. They were crap for two years after as well mate. It took Robinho in on a massive punt to get the ball rolling.

They're the only clubs that have had a huge injection of cash mate.
