Injuries to others aside, playing him every week instead of Patterson for example is exactly the kind of kicking the can down the road we did for years with Coleman.

That's one opinion like, another opinion is that we get them to defend, and defend well. Which they have done, by and large. We can't be relying on Coleman and Young forever for sure, but for the here and now, being the 4th best defence in the league, and watching most of our games this season, I'd argue we have bigger priorities at the other end of the pitch. No one else comes close. A couple with 1 error and 1 pen (Keane, tarks), and Coleman with 1 own goal and 1 error.
