2024/25 Ashley Young

Last night confirmed that if wants to continue playing professional football he needs to drop down to the 4th tier , because even league 2 quality is beyond him.

Hes absolutely braindead.

He stood there with his arms wide open as if to say "what the hell is going on" when Dixon came on, the entire stadium knew it meant, Dixon RB, Young RW, but he was acting like a child.

Considering his experience, it's not something I would have expected.

Regardless of previous performances, if picked and coming on the pitch, more chance of him performing well with the crowd supporting him than any booing or negativity. Big game on Saturday, whatever the starting 11 and bench, let’s get behind the lads and hopefully push us towards 3 points.

Think the booing was more for the actual sub rather than it strictly being aimed directly at him. Think people were frustrated that it wasn't Dixon coming on instead.

What was funny though was a moment in like the 85th minute when he went to retrieve a loose ball over on our left and I think, collectively, the fans kinda knew that he would do something to potentially mess up and get the ball robbed off him by their player - which he nearly did when he slipped over and it got an ironic cheer from the fans

Said this to the guy next to me last night, but in the real world when amongst regular people he's arguably going to be one of the most athletic and talented people in any given room he enters

If he had a kick around with regular people, he'd utterly roast them all

Against fellow professionals though, he's a bum

I think what I'm getting at is that top level sport is harsh and takes no prisoners
