He was definitely let off at the end thereJust about got a red too.
Pity he wasn't just about to fall off the team sheet. He was about to fall of the first page so just giving him a bump up.
You're welcome
…tbf, not many crosses came in from their left after the switch. Major difference in the space they had to deliver the cross for the first goal when Garner came on, it was very similar to the positions Patterson takes up.
Unforgivable that we haven’t brought a conventional, effective RB in.
I'll say about young, he looked way better on the left.
….it helped that McGinn was never going to expose him for pace and trickery. The instructions are simple, stop the player you’re marking getting crosses into the box. Keane was at fault for the first goal and is the centre of criticism but Garner was nowhere near the lad who crossed it.
Garner simply isn't a right back mate, his instincts are to press as they should be as he's a cm.
Clearly on display for the goal last night.
Dixon should have came on there, don't think any could argue that really
….Dixon largely stuck to his task at Arsenal and did great in one-on-ones. You don’t need to complicate instructions with these kids, just tell them to get the better of the player they’re marking, the fluffy, additional stuff comes with experience and confidence.
Yup I agree, he showed in the spurs game he could stick to a simplified role, he also didn't let his head go and stuck to his job whilst Rome burned around us in that game.
Would he have made a difference, who knows, but the likelihood of that cross coming in for their first is greatly reduced if he was playing instead of garner.
