Id be very close to bringing Seamus in at right back and Young at left back - just to have players on the pitch that care and will drive the team on.
All said though mate, we're going to enter a period in Dec were Young regresses - its unfair to ask him to do Weds and Saturday.

Funny enough was about to say that we can’t rely on a 40 year old playing 90 plus minutes week in and week out .
It’s shambolic and shameful where this club is ,I don’t even think I’m being hyperbolic when I say it breaks my heart
In truth with all the body blows we should be relegated by now - we've been run that bad.
Season before last i think we were the worst ever side and the worst run club ever to stay up.

Switch him to LB and play Patterson is what I'd do. Patterson provides way more attacking threat than Myko does.

Honestly, I don't think his form is an indictment as to where Everton are, like some are saying.
I prefer to put the positive individual spin on this and say fair play to him. Apart from the last couple of months he has been a liability on the pitch, he obviously still has the desire to improve and the talent to do exactly that. Hopefully, he is showing some of the younger players at the club what it is to have that desire, what it means to be playing this game for the love of it. There is no doubt that he could have retired 4/5 years ago, with no worry about earning money, etc. but he wanted to/wants to keep doing it.
The fact that he could play against his son is something that the magic of the cup (and football in general) can supply. It puts, in a very small way, faith back in to what football should be about. Amazing personal stories and this is definitely one of them.

Yes - but anyone on our right wing is covering for him, nullifying our attack ! Baines is younger than him & fitter in training I heard .....

Like everyone else I think it’s an indictment on the club that we’re playing a near 40 year old and any decently run club he’d be nowhere near the side but he’s either been our MOM or in contention last 4 or 5 games .
Who’s our best performing full back , defender or even player ? It feels churlish not to give credit where it’s due .
