looking at the replay for their goal, its hardly a given v fellaini moment is it

the ball is going the way howard dives then suddenly switches flight and moves to the left, howard does well to actually react to the movement and get his hand on it but not a strong one.

hard luck on him. long ones that move are tricky.
 
Slightly disappointed we didn't crush them in the second half. Gibson, Pienaar and Baines were brilliant. The juggernaut rolls on.
 
Good result against a bogey team, was nice to see us mix up our styles of play. We played a lot of good football today with off the ball movement. 2nd half when they went a man down we took our foot off the gas let Villa back in a little, but over the 90 mins a positive performance. More important was great to be able to watch in a relaxed fashion and just enjoy it.
 

Once Gibson went off, our midfield fall asleep.

I think we need to sign one more DM/CM as cover.
 
Boss performance, phoned it in after the sending off but you can't really blame the players for that. Villa look like they'll go down, all over the place at the back. Really happy with that result.

Thats because he was walking 2 yds in front of them.

The ball was all over the place and Howard was already off to his right when the ball changed direction. Looked a clanger at first but replays showed the movement of the ball

yep meant right not left. was moving all over. dont think it was intentional either, their player just swung and got the luck of the spin.
