Problem i have is the lack of leaders goals happen but the reaction of the players give some fight. Really miss when we had players like jags at cb massive difference for me

Questions also need to be asked of our injuries, once again. Apart from DCL and Delph everyone else was in training this week... why so many absentees today??

Wasn’t a good night for a few players.. Godfrey Isnt a right back so can’t be too harsh. Would rather have Holgate as he has a lot of experience in the position. But felt of our players who have been good Doucouré lost us quite a lot of possession throughout the game in dangerous positions and Townsends delivery wasn’t on point tonight.. Rondon not fit but if I had to put out my stall I think he is way passed it and won’t be a suitable replacement for DCL.

doucoure and Townsend will come back. But very worrying without at least one of DCL or Richy ..

and why wasn’t James on the bench?
One of two possibilities.

1) Benitez hates James with a white-hot passion and has resolved to keep him off the pitch even if it means conceding every match because losing doesn't bother Benitez nearly as much as James bothers him, or

2) We're not in a position to know.

Frustrating game with obvious well documented squad issues coming home to roost.

Strangely up to the first goal I thought we played ok, and if Grey scores that chance I’d have been pretty confident of us winning…they go up the other end and score and then we go to pot…

Confident we will get it right more than we get it wrong this season under Benitez though…imperative that we keep richarlison and DCL fit for as much as we can as I don’t think I can stomach seeing Gomes/Iwobi etc playing up front…

When did I say I was happy? I've pointed out several times that we won 3-1 on Monday but only played well for 30mins, not 60, not 90. Unfortunately tonight the reverse has happend, we've made more of the ball and been a threat but been hit ourselves (by our own undoing as well).
When did I say the football was great? Go look at that thread, you'll see plenty of posters pointing out it hasn't been great football. The poster who started the thread did, they dont represent all everton fans.

I'm happy enough with 12 points from 18, us having pace and being a threat. We aren't going to beat everyone. On ANother day Gray bends the ball more, we gop a goal up and things are different. We werent brilliant at 0-0 but we were no worse than Villa. We looked fairly comfortable.

We can't judge BEnitez as Everton manager after 5 games. Im sure there will be plenty to blame Benitez for but like any manager, players losing their heads in a 10minute period more often than not is down to the players, like it was last season.

I repeat, 12 points from 18. A solid start. No need to cry about a game going against us, it happens because we're a midtable team.

Manchester City drew 0-0 to Southampton at home today. Bet they aren't cry arsing their way into the bedsheets.
Get your point mate but your maths is a bit off, it’s 10 from 15
