Be great to do these at their midden. I detest that club more than I do the Geordies.

Cant see it though.

I hope we get a win but I'd settle right now for a draw.

Funnily enough had a look on one of the Villa Forums (Heroes and Villains) and seems there's plenty of respect....fellow founding football league members, only decent set of fans on Merseyside etc. Some statement to despise them more than Newcastle!

Big problem now of course is basically like Villa from a decade ago when they were playing terrible football yet somehow still kept on staying up despite scoring 20 goals a season.

Then Benteke left and were relegated by early January and took three years to get out of the championship.

Also the easiest MOTD link of the season "most played fixture in English football history."

Pickford
Garner
Tarkowski
Branthwaite
Young
Onana
Gueye
Iwobi
Doucoure
Danjuma
DCL

Yep team I'd pick if everyone is anything close to 100%.

Potential for ball carrying on counter with Iwobi and Danjuma in wide spots and while I'd prefer Garner in CM an away game against a technically skilled midfield there needs to be some physical disruption so those three can be effective if that's the main requirement.

Quite a low bar but I'd certainly back that side to go to Sheffield United and win and get at least a draw off Wolves so it needs to be put out sooner or later and keep itself fit.

Friday, prior to an Everton weekend...thx Bill, ya' prick.

Maupay and Keane will start, with Dyche telling himself that he’ll bring on DCL after 60 or so minutes. But when that time comes we’ll already be down 3-0 and he’ll decide that it’s not worth the risk. And we’ll all fume again until the Wolves game.
I think DCL will start and play 45-60 mins

I’ve got a lot of respect for Villa. One of the originals like us, they are a good club, and their fans always seem sound when I’ve met them on holiday etc.

I hope they do well this season, just not today or in our return game at Goodison.

Danjuma won’t be starting. Doesn’t really seem wise to give DCL two 90 minutes in a few days either, so it pains me to say, but think we’ll be unchanged from Fulham.

...I cant stand them.

Knew there would be no new faces in for this fixture.

Fully expect Keane to start again over Branthwaite, Patterson RB too which is worrying with Villas attacking options and pace.

He will probably start DCL instead of Maupay, the rest will be the same as last week.

We will be lucky if we can pick up a point. They have a better manager, better squad, better starting XI and apart from last week are in the ascendancy.

If you were a betting man you would be lumping on Villa for a comfortable home win.
