Needs a better performance than he served up here a few weeks ago thats for sure.

Absolutely hate Keane anywhere near the team tbh, him or Godfrey just instantly puts panic into the backline.

But it's a good side with plenty of players needing to impress for the weekend, likes of Patterson, Harrison, Danjuma and DCL all making a claim for a starting spot on Saturday.

A number of hungry players needing to make an impression on the manager. Personally I’d have had them fasting today with the promise of a Chippy on the bus home if they’ve put in a performance

People always consider 5 at the back as defensive, but if done correctly it can be quite attacking.

How many times have you see us do it correctly and how many times have we instead sat back, invited pressure, been overran in midfield, and created nothing?

In principle you're right but I've never seen us do it successfully with anything close to a consistency that won't make me cack myself whenever I see were doing it.

If we're going out to win this then it makes no sense to play Keane and Patterson in defence.

Dyche has ballsed this up. Should have played a lot more peripheral players and gone out with no damage. If we get injuries to key players that's down to him.

Think that might have worked in 1976 mate but in 2023 I think the Everton players would have Dyche arrested for cruelty

IF hes got any sense it should be Branners, Keane and Tarks can both play decent long balls, Branners is more of a "passer" for me.
