There are two things here one we have players who are just not imo at premier standard dcl tosun Davies. The other more worrying for me is we have quality players Gomes siggy richarlison Bernard to name 4 who are playing like they are jaded not motivated whatever but just not turning up.
The rest Coleman digne Pickford Mina kean are probably having a go,but they need big games from the rest.
Silva has to call these players out it’s just not good enough.

Didn’t play on Mings injury and the RB booked early on. Too many chances wasted. We played well enough and controlled the game to win, but unfortunately a very poor Villa team on the face of it looks like they’ve spanked us! For all of Schneiderlins criticism he was probably one of our better performers which says a lot! Gomes was just gash. My concern is that we look terrible when being counter attacked

Pickord - 6 - Couldn't do much for either goal.
Coleman - 6 - Got forward well and should have had an assist.
Keane - 6 - A bit meh.
Mina - 6 - Bad errors but made up for them.
Digne - 6 - Created things but can't do it all on his own.
Gomes - 3 - His worst game in an Everton shirt. Proper poor.
Schneiderlin - 2 - Gets a 2 because he played that one good pass to Coleman for DCL's sitter.
Rich - 5 - He's been playing too wide and offers nothing there. Start him up front if Kean isn't ready.
Gylfi - 4 - Nothing performance. But again, he gets si frustrated by players not having the impetus to pass it to him.
Bernard - 5 - Was poor.
DCL - 3 - Offered nothing.

Kean - 6
Iwobi - 6
Walcott - 3

Silva - 4 - He got it all wrong with the subs. Worry when we go behind we simply don't know how to change it.

To be fair mate I think all 3 games have been very similar to tonight. Watford could easily have gone the other way, and palace was just a non-event for both teams.

It can and will get better but clear as mud that we cannot finish above 7th with the frailties we have going forwards.

I agree we need to do something shape wise. We have been this 4 2 3 1 for 6 years now through several managers and it consistently leads to slow and predictable build up. It's just too easy to isolate the 3 from the defensive 6 and the 1 from everybody else.
I actually think if snides plays (which I hope he doesn’t to often) the only way he can play is if he’s on his own in DM, he’s woeful when playing in there with someone else.
