I might be overstating it, but this could be a real catalyst for the season.

Get a result + it'll give us a really good platform for next few games, while we ease new players in.

Wouldn’t downplay Villa. Poor result first game of the season but Gerrard will demand a response in front of the home crowd. Can’t see us grabbing the 3 points without a decent striker and the jury is still out on this team away from home. Would take the point.
