Well obviously common sense should prevail, but Kewell was hard done by because he hasn't made an attempt to stop the ball with his hand, its his upper arm and its harder to control that part of your body.

Yeah good idea, and maybe we should have 4 quarters and 25 refs?

Don't know what that has to do with anything.

No one wants to hear from a yank thats only watched football for a few years, but hte red card system has to go. Man gets sent off, fine, but if a team has subs left, they should be able to bring a man back on...if no subs then play with 10.

Sorry, but it's a stupid idea. If someone is tearing up another team and looking really dangerous, then the other team can just tell their least important player to take him out without any fear of going down to 10 men. It would encourage dirty tactics.

Common sense should probably prevail to be fair. I mean when you look at the rules, you may as well just get the refs to decide on the spot if most people would think something was '******* ridiculous' and just give a foul for it there and then.

Well I think my recommendation is right.

Because that happens so much in all the sports that dont have red cards right? Hockey is a good example...doesnt happen

edit: And theres other ways to deal with that behavior that dont have to be made in stressful situations and that can be examined fully...fines, club fines, suspensions, etc.

I think the main thing is how imbalanced the penalty area is. The fact that you get a penalty kick and most likely a goal for any indiscretion in the area, no matter how small, is just wrong. It causes all kinds of problems for refs because of how harsh it is and so they hardly give any. There should be more indirect freekicks.
