Away record against the 'Big Six'

Despite not really getting wins, I find that we're usually good value for a draw.

Looking at United for example, we've drawn the last 3, admittedly, at the time of writing I actually thought we'd done better, but still 3 seasons on the bounce considering we've been nothing short of dire, isn't to be scoffed at.

Arsenal has always been a dire one for us, and I don't know why, I didn't realise that we'd lost 7 on the run there, prior to last season, dating back to the Deulofeu result.

From winning at Arsenal in 1996, we lost 22 times to them in all competitions away, wow. That's absolutely dismal

Ah okay... we're dire. Fully agreed. Boooooo.

Generally good teams at home win the majority of matches so it's not quite as bad as it seems when you think we've comfortably been whipping boys for these for the majority of the PL. We should be looking at winning 33% of the points on offer, so around 59 for the ones that total to 177.

I didn't if you read my original post, i didn't ignore them at all, eggs is just being silly for the sake of it because he dosent like the credit the current manager deserves.
You did, you ignored the point eggs made basically saying we have actually done well in recent seasons at these grounds by just saying we now have a great manager.

…i think too much is made of how good these teams are. United, for example, haven’t looked great for a while yet you see the mindset of posters on here that we had no chance on Saturday.

I think it’s lots to do with mindset, 3 away draws at United and wins at Anfield, Spurs and Arsenal last season hopefully means we now go to these places with belief.
I think a huge amount is mindset against these teams. I swear that's how Utd won their last title under Ferguson. That team was no way near as good as previous incarnations yet the badge and Fergy power worked their magic against so much of the opposition. We have to have a positive mindset and for years even when we were pretty good (Under Ginge) we still went to places like Anfield and shat our pants. Hopefully Benitiez can at least install a real competitive streak throughout the team. Not having half of them walking about for 90 mins will help.

Surprised at our record at Snake Mountain in all honesty. According to the OP’s stats we’ve avoided defeat there almost 60% of the time. My memory makes me believe like we’re getting eternally dry bummed at Anfield.

We havent had the biggest of issues going to any of these teams the past couple of seasons, long may it continue.

despite no fans i think last year will have removed a bit off the hoodoo about big away games for this squad

except City, they always seem to batter us

They do now but prior to Pep our record v City was ok, Chelsea is the odd one, there have been some great games between the two sides of the years
