My understanding of the Witsel situation is this:

Everton & Zenit agreed a fee (way below the £30m or so that's been banded about) around three weeks ago whilst the player was in France with Belgium.

The player & his representatives also settled on the contract & all that was left to do was return from the Euros / holiday, fly to Merseyside & formally conclude the deal.

Now, situations do change - that's the nature of the business but as far as I'm aware from a pretty well placed source, nothing has come in the way of this transfer despite rumblings in Italy.

I suspect @The Esk has heard very similar. Let's wait until the end of the week and see how it plays out.

Nothing has changed our end, nor elsewhere I believe.

If Witsel doesn't sign - we don't question him - we banish him. Ban is ths only option. For his own good, he couldnt possibly recover after being so certain on Witsel.

Depends Bry, I mean theres constants in them all, Coleman, Baines, Besic, Barks and Mirallas have made every one so far.
