The Italian teams cannot even agree a fee with Zenit. Can his dad really agree a contract with others without getting permission from Zenit?

I would guess it is because the top Italian teams are a known quantity to him, whereas us, despite the stuff we know about, maybe hasnt registered as deeply as we would hope.

Or maybe, as someone said a few posts ago, he is a numpty footballer who believes everything his advisers/agent tells him.

I think it's as roydo said, we know how great of a club Everton is but from an outside perspective it might not be the same. Witsel was 6 years old in Belgium when we last won something, why would he know any of the good things about Everton? We haven't done anything in Europe in his lifetime. He'll just be seeing an English club that's finished 11th the past two seasons whose got new investment and big plans. It's up to koeman and the management to convince witsel it's a project worth being a part of.

I'm not saying it's an excuse but it's hardly surprising if it's low on his priorities. Why would a Belgian football be arsed about what an English club accomplished 20+ years ago? Players want to play CL, compete for titles and get a high wage. We can give players a high wage thanks to moshiri but it's up to koeman to convince targets that we can compete at the highest level

There are also reports that he has another Italian agent Riccardo Napolitano who is saying that he has agreed to join Milan!!!!! WTF he now has 3 agents acting on his behalf in italy - His dad, Francesco Marseglia and now this other lid!

We should run away from this curly-haired freak asap
