Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

I still think he'll go to Napoli

He's courted us to get Napoli to offer him more money I think

Kev's right mate. By the sounds of it Witsel's club refuse to deal with Napoli.

Not saying he'll definitely end up with us, but if Zenit won't co-operate with Napoli then I can't see him going there.

At this rate i'm going to be wanting fellaini back!

just a guess but perhaps the reason why he is dragging his heels is because we don't look good enough for him? Word in his ear and all that, does he want to move to a mid table club and then be stuck here when he could be playing at a higher level? So yeah, perhaps he is hanging onto other clubs because they are better prospects, if he signed here and all our 'top transfer targets' fell through and we bought average ones then he would be stuck midtable still in his eyes when 12 months ago he could have been in champions league.

I saw Axel in my local pub this weekend !!

Funnily enough, I've been thinking Fellaini back at the right price might be worth considering...he would certainly fit in, and I think supporters would on the whole welcome him back.

I liked him as a player. I wouldn't want him as a top target or anything but if come deadline day we signed him back for like 14 million (random price) then i'd be happy. It is just a shame he has been ruined in his natural position, although the belgians up front and kev on the wing might be a good thing in that scenario.

We just need 1 big name to make the jump, ala Robinho at city.

Others will follow its just the first is is the hardest.

At the right price considering he's nearly 29 I'd definitely have him back. Mainly as a forward option to be honest.

I would give up Everton if we ever took Fellaini back. Close to a decade I've had to watch one of Fellaini Neville McCarthy or Barry playing sideways balls. No more thank you.
