Sort of depends where we're going ! I can't believe this thread has had almost half a million views in under a month. From what I saw in the Euros Witsel isn't a bad player, but he wasn't exactly uprooting any trees. I won't be complaining if we sign him, but I won't be thinking 'now we can finish top 4' either.

Totally agree as ever there is a desperation by some for any activity, Carvalaho is more of a prospect to me but as ever we just seem to missing the early opportunities! I have the patience that goes with the years of Everton false dawns though

Mate he hasn't conducted himself in any different way to how any other footballer in this situation would. And tbh by the sounds of it it's more down to his plethora of reps anyway (as it nearly always is)

We agreed a fee with Zenit during the Euros. We only opened negotiations with Witsel's reps after that...

I'd honestly say the only thing we need 'urgently' is a goalkeeper.

Completely different players, and different roles, buying one doesnt mean we have lost the other.
