True. It's exactly like when Sarah Morris said she'd kiss me in the disabled toilet of McDonald's on Edge Lane and then 15 years later I'm still waiting and when I ask her about it on Facebook she's like:

"Who is this??"

And I'm like

"The lad with the Rockport from 15 years ago"

And she's like

"How did you find me under my married name?"

And I'm like

"Let's not talk specifics, Sarah. People really need to use the toilet and I don't think they're going to let me stay here for much longer."

It's a joke really.
Made my day that! PMSL!

I had a not dissimilar experience in Suriname ...which used to be called Dutch Guiana.

What with Sarah Morris? sounds a bit of a heart breaker her, what's her married name again?

That's correct, people forget Norwich paid £8m for Naismith, Bournemouth paid about the same for Lewis Grabban. We could mug someone off for Cleverley, and we really should be doing

While I agree we could get a decent fee for him, I actually think Cleverley is as much as a 'RK type' player as any of our other midfielders.

Bags of energy, decent vision and does look for a forward pass more often than not.

I don't think Gibbo has the legs and unfortunately McCarthy seems stuck in his rut of 'safety first'.

Gibson hasn't had the legs since he was 21... shame because he had ability. I am still in utter shock he managed to con himself another contract. I am begging its to keep value and he will be sold, but i think he will be injured in the next week and then spend the season in the treatment room.

Dembele isn't better mate, you are just more familiar having seen him more often in a familiar league.

Witsel keeps Dembele out the Belgium side for a good reason, he is better than him.

Wouldn't put much faith in what Wilmots does as their national manager tbf.

Do you reckon? He's the safest, blandest 5 yard sideways passer we have in the squad. Well, along with McCarthy of course

I wouldn't blame the player mate. Pretty certain it was a deal already set up with the club and in all fairness I've got nowt against him purely because we more than got value for our money with his form in the back half of the 11/12 season and throughout 12/13 when he wasn't injured.

He was superb for us but ultimately injuries and other factors haven't helped his cause.

One of the reasons I would be willing to let Lukaku go is that he doesn't want to be here/ his heart isn't in it.

So on that logic, what's the point in wanting Witsel? Zenit have accepted our offer, I'm sure we are offering loads of money, time to swerve him I think

I shouldn't want Witsel, cause you're weird enough to not want Lukaku? Sweet logic chief.

Watching him against Betis mate he was the only player trying to make things happen (granted there weren't many other players on the pitch who could do much more) but his performances in pre-season in general have been decent, IMO.

As a squad player we could do a lot worse. However, that doesn't mean we shouldn't sell him if somebody comes in with a decent bid, but only if we have a better replacement lined up, imo.

Oh i dont blame the player, the club is the one at fault for giving the lad a contract when he has played a grand total of 51 games in 5 years at the club, which is absolutely pathetic...

He had some good games yes, but I can't say he was superb because that amount of games in that time is scandalous. We all knew he would break down at some point after getting fit.

We should have cut him when we had the opportunity...

Until he goes elsewhere we have a chance.

This goes for Lionel Messi too.

are we still 6th faves to sign him?

Made us tick when he first signed mate. Was brilliant.

However, he was a crock and now even though he's been injury free for a while he's lost a lot of what made him decent, which was his ability to control a game with his positioning and passing.

Agree he could have been let go, but I suppose if we put him up for sale he may well still attract a semi-decent fee and return on our money. I'd be all over trying to flog him to Moyes like.

My next door neighbour but one, popped in this evening. Lovely old fella...85 years old and fit as a fiddle. He's never been into football but supports Everton now because of the friendship we've attained.
