Transfer Rumour Axel Witsel

Witsel and williams signing could really open the floodgates. They might convince others such as Mata, carvalho or koulibaly to join and in the process convince lukaku to stay. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to convince stones to stay unless of course city don't meet the asking price set. However I feel they will as they are desperate to land a centre half.

I actually don't think we want stones to stay mate, think from earyl on they planned for him to be the one to go to allow what they wanted to do to be possible.

I think some people havent considered that neither Stones nor Lukaku may fit Koeman's style of play. Thats one of the reasons Gueye was brought in. While a player may succeed on one team, he may not on another depending on what hes asked to do, and where his strengths/weaknesses lie. Stones is only worth so much because of his ability to dribble the ball and pass out of the back, two things there were in high demand with Martinez(and also by Pep), but which Koeman doesnt care for.

We have been trying though pal?

Witsel, Mata, Carvalho. Big names and the reason they're taking longer is because we've been tosh for a few years.

In the meantime, we needed a keeper and we've got a semi-decent one in. We still need another like but Stek will prove to be a decent aquisition IMO.

We needed a commanding centre half and Williams will present that. Should Stones go, we'll likely still go out and get another, younger one as well.

Gueye I'm not 100% on but he seems the type of player Walsh likes and Koeman obviously does as he tried to sign him last year.

And no, in response to your final point.

Wait until the end of the window. But it seems that this week we're going to see some positive movement on at least two signings and potentially Witsel as well.

I agree with what you are saying but Everton do have a way of torturing their fan base.

think they do mate, but also accept that as he wants to go and his valuation is going to more than likely be met more readily than Rom's (plus as good as he is, and he is good, he's easier to replace than the big man) .

Like scoring goals.

Oh of course, how silly of me, when a player scores goals they always do no matter whats going on around them, who they are playing with, and what the coaching style is. I mean just like Eden Hazard...errr....okay, maybe just like Wilfred bony...no, that doesnt help you either... okay maybe Christian Bente....nah...Juan Mata? Nope, also suffered under a new regime. Or maybe our own Lukaku...oh, well, theres that pesky poor scoring record without Deulofeu...

I give up. You must be wrong.
