What decent players mate?

We'll have our targets. So far we haven't 'missed out' on anyone we were actually in for...

And the game is 12 days away. At the moment we look likely to make up to three signings this week, all of which would improve the squad.

of the 3 names given yesterday, only Williams fits that bill IMO but each to their own.

Our manager is a Dutchman, Bergkamp was a Dutchman, they have produced players of the highest quality, Van Basten, Robben, Van Persie, Cruyff, Neeskens, Gullit....need I go on?
sorry, my point was you can make pretty sweeping statements about the current dutch players being bottlers, spilt brats, fallout at every tournament, etc.

In that situation I was theorising that Gana, Williams and Witsel could be the three ins mate:

Gana - I agree maybe not better on paper than what we have but he may be more suited to our style of play under Koeman than some of our current midfielders are. At £7m it's a good deal.

Williams - as you said definite improvement.

Witsel - better than any of our central/holding midfielders currently.

Not at all sold on Januzaj. Hoping Sunderland get him.

Must have missed this link, genuinely.
Care to share mate? (on another thread if needs be!)

I had presumed he was one of the 3.

We will see I guess.....my original point sticks though for me, holding out for too long on the Belgian could be problematic if other possibles move elsewhere.

That is why we should have given him and his agent an ultimatum with regard to a timescale for signing. If he doesn't want to come, we move onto other targets. Dragged on for far too long.

....still odds-on to join us with Skybet. Fingers crossed.

He will come mate - of everyone we have been linked with he's the one i always felt most confident over, more complicated than i ever thought like, but the games nearing the end at least now

Witsel and williams signing could really open the floodgates. They might convince others such as Mata, carvalho or koulibaly to join and in the process convince lukaku to stay. Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to convince stones to stay unless of course city don't meet the asking price set. However I feel they will as they are desperate to land a centre half.
