The definition of stone is :- hard solid non-metallic mineral matter of which rock is made, especially as a building material. So they might well be stones soon.

Whoever defined that is a linguist and not a geologist. They never use the word stone as it has no technical relevance.

You could counter that and also argue that by removing x,y,z who do nothing but moan about other posters moaning would make the forum a more chilled place?
