Baines Flattered by United Link

So will every blue mate but you can not blame him for wanting to better himself

I dont see us as a club in my lifetime being on a level playing field with Utd

Just have to wonder who will go next summer

Fellaini, Jelavic, Heitinga and Baines are the four players we currently have who you could see playing at a higher level, no trouble. With that kind of player it's always a matter of just how long they'll stay at a club who don't win trophies or play in Europe.

I thought he answered them as well as we could want. He's never going to completely close the door because of who they are and the fact we quite often sell our better players.

I can't see it myself though.

They have seen a £60m jump in thier debt and they need a whole new midfield that can compete at the top level, Circa £90m for that in my eyes. They also know we don't sell cheaply anymore.

Are they going to spend £20m on a left back when the current one is the captain and still as good as all bar one or two in this league.

you may be right I may not want too see it until something concrete happens is all. I know if they bid he's gone i'm still hopeful though and will not cause myself anguish before i have to.

Remember those magic eye pictures where you had to go cross eyed to see the image?

Read it like that and it says "Fook this Im off to Utd"

The great thing is people thought we got Gibson cut price out of the goodness of SAF heart - will we ever learn.

Bye Bainesy lah.

Excellent popcorn for the Everton fans there.

We'd miss his set piece play for sure. I'm not sure he's irreplaceable as a wing back though. Not that we should sell like.

I'm really glad that Jags has got into the England squad with Baines now. Chances are they will room together and Jags can fend off the Man Utd contingent getting in Baines ear telling him what a great club Utd are and convincing him to move.

I also hope Baines has had a chat with Pienaar too and realised the grass isn't always greener (particularly if your not playing on it and sitting on the bench every week).

I'm fairly confident he will stay. Fellaini worries me more.
