Baines Flattered by United Link

Think its Fabio Coentrao for 30m

On wiki it says Euros...."On 5 July 2011, after extensive negotiations, Benfica and Real Madrid reached an agreement in principle over the transfer of Coentrão, who signed a six-year contract the same day, for €30m.[11][12] Central defender Ezequiel Garay"

At todays exchange rates that would be circa 24mil.....which includes the Garay fee....

I wonder who the 2nd and 3rd largest transfer fees were for, Kolarov went for 16mil and Johnson about 18mil.....

I guess what I'm really saying is we can't really expect too much more than Baines going for similar amounts as the worlds largest full back transfers which seem to be between 18-24mil ?

I think we will be ok and don't see Baines going anywhere..

No chance he would go Napoli.

Utd... Maybe he could be persuaded but...
1: utd would have to match are valuation (which they won't)
2: hopefully playing for England will give baines an insight into what it's like playing in a team that don't need or want to play to your strengths.

As usual talking bollocks, if Utd put an offer in we will negotiate with them until an agreement is made, no matching of our valuation, just work towards a sale, we're run by the biggest bunch of bulbs known to humanity in Kenwrong and co. Read up on what foxy's said, it's a matter of when they put in the offer, not how much.
