I noticed that my list was fairly archaic.
There are plenty of 21st century groups / artists that I like, probably not many of them would make it into a favourite list - Nick Cave, The White Stripes, Camera Obscura would.
Most of the music that has left the greatest impression on me is pre 1990's.
