Credit Barnsley. Deulofeu MOM 9/10, changed the game. I hope he carties this confidence at Spurs. This game for me marked the coming of age of Mo Besic. Intense, fearless, calm and composed. Great tackles, passing and no booking! Joel has lost what little respect I had for him after those 2 or 3 great games last season.

we were phenomenal and phenomeanlly bad.
I only caught ET and the last 15 mins of normal time, I was at a wedding rehearsal and couldn't look at my phone because it would have been too rude.

Here's what I've gathered, somebody please correct me if I'm wrong.

  • McGeady was abysmal (as usual)
  • Deulofeu came on and changed the game
  • Barkley had a cracking performance from the 2nd half onwards
  • Oviedo was really poor
  • Young lad Pennington was caught in the crossfire
  • Joel was Joel
Anything else?

McGeady slid a couple shots right to the keeper. There were actually players doing worse than him in the 1st half.
Deulofeu had one of his best matches
Barkley extremely good
Oviedo bled for us
Pennington looked decent at the beginning but then was poor after the 1st goal
Joel was a madman in extra time.

Del and ross were brilliant and with them on the pitch we seen the lukaku we love. Mirallas put in a shift, Besic was good. Defence need to learn how to defend...they are too loose and allow too much time. I know Nais scored but strewth...he is bad. Cleverly was quite good and did a reasonable job at right back. Oviedo looks well off the pace but that will do him well. Joel....well what can you say. Stones and Jags look vunerable to crosses and I wish we could get 2 grocks there instead. Defence needs tightening up for sure or we will get a few thrashing this season.

He's our best player 22 years old but looks to have bags of experience, all our players have done us proud, we tried playing football all way through but got beat by a side miles better then us in extra time, we're playing the game the right way and doing it with kids. Proud to be a tyke tonight.

Didn't he only come from Wycombe last year mate? If so the step up is impressive.

Your team play very well and you should be proud in that performance, it could have been much tighter!
