Cause we're ashamed of him mate. The English can have him but in fairness don't think they want him after his stint on MOTD a few years ago. He's a complete bell if the truth be told. I really do despise him more than any media figure in the world of football.

Not many likeable Irish people in the media tho.

They are all proper bells.

Quite.

But he is still Irish.....you can't hide from that :p

Don't worry.....we have plenty of home grown bells among the media over here.

Paul Merson and Phil Thomoson to name but two :(

Yes mate. Colin Murray he's one of youse. Doubt he considers himself Irish anyways Tommo is actually alright to us these days in fairness while Merson nearly cried when we didn't sell stones so agreed there lad

I really don't understand why people get so upset by what is printed in the newspapers.
Most journalists do not have an in depth knowledge of what is happening outside of Utd, City, Chelsea, Arsenal and of course Liverpool, when Spurs are doing well you could add them to that list.

Last Saturday Everton had in their team Browning, Stones, Galloway, Barkley. All English , all under 21.
On the field as well was Lukaku, who has just turned 22 and Deulofeu , also just 21.

Their is an interesting story there about developing young players and for an English media a story about developing young English players.
I would have thought some journalist would think of looking at the academy to see what is going on here ,it really is quite remarkable in the modern game. I can understand the media not being aware of Ledson, Henen, Dowell and all the others.

But, the story that would come out is about how long Everton can refuse to sell to Chelsea, City, Utd .

Just ignore the beaut. I just don't read the crap anymore from journalists who feel they have to put us down at every turn, yet these same journalists come out with crap like the redshite fans are the most knowledgeable fans in football, and they are the most patient fans who will always back their managers no matter what, and they do everything 'the right way' Think someone needs to direct these bellends to the redshite forums.

Latest example of terrible Everton-related journalism:

"We can only hope that Barkley’s maturity rubs off on the Everton supporters who spend so much time admiring protest banners that they’ve paid to trail across the sky that they fail to appreciate the wealth of young talent representing their club on the ground. Barry Glendenning"

Needless and baseless sly dig IMO
LETS GET A BANNER LADS
