To the "Kenwright Out" crowd, I say, be careful what you wish for and spend your hard-earned money on better things than silly banners

Well, I am part of the 'Kenright Out' crowd and I applaud the activism and committment of the banner flyers who have at least spent their own money in defending EFC. Something that Billy Liar and his Zombie director friends have never ever done.
And whilst we are talking about activists lets raise a glass to the lads of KEIOC. If not for them there was a fair chance we would be playing in a shed and not at one of the Etenal Homes of Football, Goodison Park.

I'm not sure what's wrong with this statement. This seems to be a dig at the people who spent massive amounts of money flying those silly banners. I for one am actually embarrassed an an Everton supporter when I see those banners. They don't represent me or, I suspect, the vast majority of Everton supporters. Yes, I want someone else to buy Everton and put obscene amounts of money into the club so we can compete at the top again. No, I don't think that's ever going to happen. For some reason many supporters seem to think that a ton of money will just fall from the sky if Everton are sold.

I just don't know why people can't be objective and recognize that the board have done both good things and bad things for the club. I don't hate them or love them. A new group of owners might have better ideas but they'll still be constricted by our limited turnover (compared to the Sky-6 clubs). A new group of owners could also end up running the club into the ground just as easily. To the "Kenwright Out" crowd, I say, be careful what you wish for and spend your hard-earned money on better things than silly banners.
I didn't even want to go that deep into the debate tbh it's just a stupid comment on a number of dffrent levels. I mean going from Barkley having a good game to talking about that and equating wanting the board out to not knowing about our youth setup. Anyway by all accounts he's a wum and I fell for it. He's a tit though. I've had too many caipirinhas tnght t be fair

It's the Guardian what do expect? It's just a national version of the Echo. Sticking your balls in a vice is less painful than reading the Guardian. They deliberately try to be as provocative as possible so people click and read their stupid articles, so it seems like a popular newspaper when it's anything but. The majority of people who work at the Guardian are middle class southerners, who have no understanding about anything in life, they just print pointless articles that wind people up like this one.

Here's some interesting information about him;

'The Guardian printed an apology in response to complaints regarding comments made by Barry Glendenning in a segment about Sir Jack Hayward on a football podcast, when he was described as having been "quite openly xenophobic and racist". Glendenning also later apologised for his choice of words. He is a supporter of Sunderland.'

Not sure that The Guardian need to apologise for him being a supporter of Sunderland, but there you go.

It's more like a lifestyle magazine for those of above average intelligence (a centre-left version of the Daily Mail which is a lifestyle magazine for those of a below average intelligence) these days, but it has to keep up with the times (no pun intended)

I would have to disagree really I think the Guardian is now actually become worse than the Daily Mail. It used to be a decent newspaper that took an interest in things that a lot of the mainstream media ignore, similar to extent with the Daily Mail. A lot of the problem is that they have tried to appeal to the American market, in order to do that they deliberately try to be as provocative as possible. It's like the Liverpool Echo was a relatively good newspaper until 2012, they did at least try to report on local issues. Nowadays they've largely got rid of a lot of the decent reporters and replaced them with numpties who don't have a clue what their on about.
