BT was a genuine lad trouble was he was [Poor language removed] for us no other way of describing his contribution to the cause. I remember when he married he asked all the guests not to send presents but to donate their money to a charity, that says a lot about the guy himself.

Everybody who plays with him says he's a good lad and tirelessly works to help other players on the training pitch. However he should just accept the fact that he wasn't good enough here and that it was never going to work out (remember the 3 game suspension head butt on Gallas on his 1st start).

Most players believe they are better than they are,which to be fair if they dont believe in them selves who else will.As already stated he does seem a nice lad but in his eyes maybe he did better than he really did as I thought he was given ample chances to prove his worth albeit with out many decent crosses

I think your seeing part of the picture. Service is the most important. Top class midfielders can make average strikers great. Beattie was and is to slow to play in our 4-5-1 he just couldn't cut the mustard.
