Beckham to Spurs ...

Would have loved to see him here, but fair play to him:

a ) he trained there as a youth
b ) his grandad was a big fan (dedicated his whole WC speech to his grandad)
c ) his family home is in Hertfordshire

I'm just looking forward to seeing him back in the prem.

Big fan of Becks but very dissappointed by this. Like others have said, at least have the decency to say you just don't want to play for us instead of saying what you did and then joining Spurs. Pah. Don't think we particularly need him but would have been a nice cameo. I really don't like Spurs.

You have got to be kidding me. The Galaxy's silence on this is starting to be irritating. Although the more time rolls by the more it looks like the Galaxy are either going to get a ginormous payday (fine, hopefully that means they can let LD go in the summer) or David's not going anywhere. But the hoopla around this has reached dumb levels with this story:

Tottenham could offer Beckham permanent deal

LONDON (AP) — Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp says David Beckham's potential two-month loan move to the Premier League club could become a permanent deal.
Negotiations over a loan deal for the Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder are continuing this weekend, with the 35-year-old Beckham keen on a move to Spurs.

The former England captain is due back at the Galaxy in March for the new MLS season, but would be available for a free transfer when his Major League Soccer contract expires in November.

Redknapp told Sunday newspapers that "it is a possibility that we will sign him."

The Spurs manager is aware that if Beckham "comes and does well then he will, I am certain, have lots of offers. They will want him in Qatar ... all over the world."

He will be thinking that by being in London he is handy for an England call.

Yup - I know that's what he's thinking. And then there's reality. And the club that pays him. I'm one of those that doesn't mind him going on loan - it's in his contract, fine. That's his choice and his perogative. No ill feelings from me. The Galaxy should get a stipulation if he gets injured. However, the hoopla and his silence and non-support of the club, now that bugs me.

Just reading the BBC FA Cup updates and came across this.

1650: Breaking news: David and Victoria Beckham are expecting their fourth child in the summer.

I wish so much pain on whoever typed that it's untrue, hating the direction the media are taking this game in.

It's true Chico, it's all over the place now.

And yes, apparently he's just going to go train.

LA Galaxy - you grew a backbone. Bless you. Now go find a striker.

That's unbelievable. How on earth in any way is that an FA Cup update??
