Black Swan very nice.Tremendous effort sir
Which beer was the pick ?
The Halo is normally very good
Haven't actually tried it (though I intend to), but Sierra Nevada has one out this year. They rarely disappoint.Anyone have a good Octoberfest beer that is available in the US? The Sam
Adams one is disappointing this year (as is their Boston Lager, actually). Tried Great Lakes and it was good but did not taste like an Octoberfest beer. Looking at the Heavy Seas one since they have not disappointed.
One of my favorite IPAs. Try the Commodore Perry from Great Lakes. Solid summer beer.Really good, heavily malted to balance out the hops
I had the Lupuloid IPA and Bloody Notorious Blood Orange DIPA at the weekend and they were both very good. Think I prefer Magic Rock and Cloudwater over Beavertown though.Anything by Beavertown. Gamma Ray is something else.
So what do you do when Everton shove a pike up yer weekend?
You turn to ale, that's what you do.
Luckily I have the fruits of my recent sojourn to the fine city of York to take my mind off things...

This selection was cobbled together in what I can only describe as possibly the finest alcohol emporium in the land: The House of the Trembling Madness.
@COYBL25 will testify. This magnificent off licence/bar is a veritable paradise for the chronically imbibed. I'm going to try and take it a little easy on this selection as I have to make it last till my next trip. First up is another fine Hawaiian lager from the folks at Kona to go with my Mac & Cheese with onion rings. Sod you Everton.. You're not ruining my whole weekend.
I had no problem with the stairs chief, it was pavement outside wot done me in.You forgot to mention how difficult and dangerous it is coming down the stairs in the place when you're pissed
