Beer, revisited

Acquired a load of these. Any good?

Lol, depends how many you drink in one go !!!!!!!!!!

Not tried Guzzler but the Wold Top are generally very nice beers. I'm looking for a Yorkshire beer for my wedding (as the mrs is from York) - would you say the Guzzler would keep everyone happy so to speak! Ha ha! Don't want anything over around 4.5% or everyone will riot!

My missus is from York too - Bootham area, near York City's ground ?

I've not visited the Kit-Kat Arena! Want to see a game but her family don't follow them and think they are a bit of a shambles (excuse the pun!). They are all Baggies fans as her dad moved from there!

She is from Dringhouses area I think - near the racecourse?

Typical York attitude that - the footy team are crap, so I don't go an watch them / support Chelsea or Man U, but never go to a game. I go an watch them mate. It's a great little ground, some cracking pubs nearby and you know that you're money is helping to keep the club going, rather than paying for a tyre valve on a players Bentley.

Dringhouses is the outskirts - too far to walk into town.

Go and watch a game. The footy ain't great ( like West Brom ) but it's a good day out.

I'd love to to be fair! - I live by Forest Green Rovers and try to get there a bit but it's quite expensive for non-league football (about £18!). Will give them a bit of a nudge.

I'd quite like to get to Leeds and watch the Rhinos too as I bet that is a decent day out!

In Wetherspoons today. Tasty but, as usual, served too cold.

I've never had a pint in Wetherpsoons that wasn't sold slightly cold. I'm convinced it's to squeeze more life out of the keg and maximise profits. Plus the staff in Spoons know nothing about the beer they are serving either. It's the Tesco of real ale. Although I appreciate that if you're still in Pwhelli you haven't got much choice !
