And very nice it was. Never heard of them before. If only the 2000 decibel music could have been lowered a touch it would have made it a bit more enjoyable.

Does the back room still smell of the bogs in there ?

Beer fest at the wigwam crypt tomorrow, looking forward to it. Will try to select as many ales as possible vaguely related to Everton. Bitter, obviously. With good reason. But also any reference to the words toffee, sharp, gray or heath and so on will have to be sampled. Anything described as "red" will be avoided.

Two beautiful beers after work tonight in Wetherspoons. I could wax lyrical about malty notes, hoppy undertones and floral essences, but I won't, because, much as I try, I can never distinguish them.

All I know was they tasted bloody lovely, especially at £2.15 a pint. Never had a drink from either brewery. They were :

The Winter Glow was lovely, but the Durdle Door was exceptional. I'll have to keep my eyes peeled for the Dorset Brewing Company. Both beers were excellently kept.

I think DBC is based in Weymouth. I've had a few of theirs when down at parents. Not tried Durdle Door but will have to now!

My local has started stocking bottles of this, as it's a real ale that can be drunk out of the fridge, as an alternative to lager.

I had a few last night and it's actually alright for a bottled beer.

My local has started stocking bottles of this, as it's a real ale that can be drunk out of the fridge, as an alternative to lager.

I had a few last night and it's actually alright for a bottled beer.

Their Wolf Rock Red IPA ain't bad out the bottle either.
