Beer, revisited

TBS_SCHOFFERHOFER_GLASS.jpg

Not normally something I'd drink but had some of this before and really enjoyed it. Weak at 2.5%ish but twas nice.

There is a newish brewery in Richmond Virginia called "The Veil." They do tons of limited editions, but all are fabulous. They have done some excellent New England style IPAs, which are hugely popular, described as "Instead of a clear, dry, assertive bitterness IPA like the common American IPA, East Coast breweries are creating a hazy, creamy, juicy IPA. ...they focused more on citrus characteristics of hops, creating a softer, more rounded bitterness in their beers. What we are left with is a dense and hazy, but refreshingly juicy IPA that is meant to be your everyday drinking IPA that is highly sought after."

And I would say, they are frickin' excellent!

NEIPA's are everywhere here too now. So easy drinking it's worrying.

It was absolutely delicious mate , thirst quenching and beautifully crisp ! Got another 4 in for today !
My 12hr shift turned into an 18hr slog. Finished an hour or so ago. Working outside in the sun, all I could think of was the Shipyard Rye I had asked her to get me for when I finished.
But as we all know, you can go past the moment and they are still intact. I will have them with my Sunday dinner.

You deserve it mate , enjoy !

They do a version of this with grapefruit that's absolutely boss. I've only ever found it in two places though: Epcot in Disney World and the House of Trembling Madness in York.

Enjoyed some of these the other day, despite the inevitably cringeworthy American indie beer branding/packaging

Was also called out repeatedly for saying "Or-uh-gone" and not "Ore-gun"

Huh.
