Beer, revisited

Three lovely beers today. Apparently, according to the clip, this a limited addition, never had one of those before. It was bloody delicious, not your typical IPA. Never tried their beers before, try it if you can.

I'm a fan of the Salopian Brewery as their Shropshire Gold is one of the better and more common session ales out there. I know @COYBL25 is a fan as well!

Darwin's Origin is a decent beer from the brewery, too!

Spent a few days in Vilnius (Lithuania) a few weeks back.

They had a beer called Kronenburg blanc on tap in most places. Anyone ever had that?

Not sure if I loved it, or hated it. Really strange beer.

I use to drink the stuff about a decade ago (perhaps more) as they frequently sold it in the Threshers on Booker Avenue alongside some other ad-hoc ales.

From recollection, it had quite a peculiar taste: lemony, fruity and wheaty would probably best describe it; it had a very light texture so was good in the summer.

All of a sudden it disappeared from the shelves and I never saw it again, but when I was in Lithuania (Kaunas) the wheat and fruit beers were quite common.

So it doesn't surprise me that they drink it over there. On another note, I have some bad memories of drinking in Lithuania as I think a part of me died over there.

Gold - Exmoor 4.5 %

I think I’ve posted on the Exmoor Gold before, but it’s a beautiful pint,

The Trelawny was very good too and a perfect drink for the hot weather.

The Sonnet 43 brewery is a very short walk from my house. Tomorrow I intend to spend the afternoon in the beer garden of the attached pub and celebrate our glorious victory. ( would have done it today but Slimming World beckons in the morning! These are my current favourites of theirs

I worked for a few months at a hotel in Dartmoor and it was their main ale. Pity the place was like somewhere out of the Hound of the Baskervilles.

Hate curries, asked for beer instead of chocolates for Easter, happily my brother obliged.

Went to Greenwich Union Pub today, which is a pub owned by Meantime Brewery. Good basic lager and decent all-day IPA. Cute pub too.

So, I guess a question for you lot over yonder, are DIPA's not a big thing over there? In the craft beer world here that's like the long and short of "best beer in America" lists.

Funnily enough my local has one on which I haven’t tried.
