Beer, revisited

Seen a trend lately of our local microbrews doing sour IPAs. Is this a thing near you? I think it started because lots of us at this one micro brewery would order a pint, consisting of half passion fruit gose and half Pale ale--and I'm telling you, it mixes really well and is quite refreshing. So now folks have been brewing sour IPAs such as orange/vanilla sour IPA, passion fruit sour IPA, and lime/ginger sour IPA, etc. They are quite good in a different sort of way.

Sure is, quite a few have lactose in which, to me, can really spoil a beer.

I'd rather have on or the other.

Americans really don’t understand beer.....

They’ve got their own brewing scene going on, kind of like a revolt against the piss that generally gets served up
I did a tour of Revolution Brewery in Chicago when I was over there. They had such a good variety and I got too drunk before I could try all the ones I wanted. I think it was about $20 for the tour and we got at least that in free beer. They were very passionate and knowledgable about their beers.

Our microbrew revolution has brought a much needed shot in the arm to the UK pub scene. Used to be you could get some mediocre lager (Peroni, Carlburg, etc.) or some warm cask ale. It's changed for the better now thanks to us Americans. So really Pete where's my thank you?

Thank you.....
