Top tier brewery, de Molen ;)

You may have gone, but they had their brewers over at the invisible wind factory a couple of years back (seems like a lifetime ago :( ) who were clearly in love with their jobs, the lucky swines! They had a chocolate orange impy on that was one of the best beers I have ever tasted.

Also at that event was the Northern Monk Triple Fruited Gose collab :pint2:

In my opinion, some of the lads on here have very good taste in beer, you being one, mate.

Admittedly, the more crazy the styles get, the most grumpy I get about them but all part of the fun.

One thing I am looking forward to once things get back to normal is to spend time walking the fells in the lakes and rewarding my efforts with visits to the region's never-ending supply of world-class pubs. Not a better place anywhere in the world, for me.

Same here mate, my all time favourite being the walk up Coniston Old Man, then a few pints in the bar of the Sun Hotel at the bottom.

There are just so many great walks and pubs up there, aren't there, and the ale...oh my!

My mate has a farm in Buttermere that is like an escape into another world. Walking aside the thrill of helping out with some proper graft then stumbling between the Fish and Bridge Inn is such an amazing way to reset your mind. I have sorely missed that during this madness.

Same here mate.

The weekend the first lockdown ended, me and my mate spent 2 nights at the Strands and Scree Inn, Wasdale Head, walking up Scafell Pike and then on the Sunday spent at night at the Fish in Buttermere, walking up Great Gable and Haystacks. Even made time for a dip in the lake.

Buttermere has to be one of the most serene and beautiful places in the UK. If ever you wanted to sort your`re head out, that`s the place.

We got talking to one of the girls in the Bridge and she told us that she and a few other members of staff had stayed at the hotel for the duration of the lockdown, to help keep the place ticking over for when it ended and they`d had the whole of Buttermere and Crummock water to themselves for months - walking, canoeing, fishing, swimming. This was when the weather was glorious for weeks on end. It really doesn`t get better than that.

I`ve got a weekend booked with the family, in June, at the Kirkstile Inn ( another of my favourites ) right next door to Loweswater.

I can`t wait, but then again, I am a would be MURDERER lol
