Beer, revisited

I don't think I have ever had a TR which wasn't a complete mess.
They were really good when they first started out but - in my opinion - they just expanded far too quickly. They seemed to suddenly start making loads of new brews (often mad flavours to show how 'different' they were) instead of focusing on perfecting the basics. I'm always wary of any brewery that immediately starts pumping out 15 different beers. It's hard enough to get one right, nevermind mastering a load of different styles.

I've been there a fair few times, nice pub.

You would hope that a buyer could be found for such an iconic pub.

Sadly I think many more will be SHUTTING DOWN if they can’t get up and running again, in some form by Easter.

Aldi have bought 250000 gallons of beer and bottled it, from breweries that otherwise would’ve flushed it due to the virus.

Went on sale today and some really nice stuff amongst them, Old Hooky, Tanglefoot and even Warnsteiner.

All being sold at substantially cheaper prices than elsewhere.
Hook Norton beers are great, Hooky Gold being a particular favourite - was that on sale ?

trying a new one tonight, Karbach makes some good stuff. Their Love Street kolsch is really nice, but tonight i'm trying Southern Wheat belgian style wheat (no idea where the name comes from, but it is Dallas brewer, proper Texans these)
