Oh yesThe Vocation Brewery in Hebdon Bridge also do some crackers too.
Not come across these before, will keep an eye out for them. I need to post more in this thread, I always forget it’s not just an Everton forum! Any other lesser spotted breweries you’ve come across recently?View attachment 161150
Last nights and another cracker from the Wigan Brew House :
Hop Dancer 4.2%
Refreshing and zesty, without going overboard on the hops.
I’ve yet to have a bad beer from them.

I went to a meet the brewer event with twisted wheel a couple of weeks ago. I’m a big fan of their beers, they were originally in Wigan too but had to move to Warrington because they were kicked out by the landlord. I was surprised to find the owner is actually a cockney though. Really nice bloke, very easy to talk to.
I often avoid Westwood just because Cheshire Cat is boring (not bad at all, just ubiquitous as you say) but I had their Oregon pale on cask last week and it was very good.View attachment 160324
Lasts night tipple :
Southern Cross / Weetwood 3.6%
It’s the first time I’ve seen anything locally from Westwood, outside of their ubiquitous Cheshire Cat.
Considering it was only 3.6%, it was really flavoursome and a very pleasant drink.
Plus I think you could drink quite a lot of it, without suffering too badly the morning after !

Sorry for spamming you aswell I’m just working my way back through the thread!
How d'ye get on yesterday mate?Brilliant, cheers!
Thoroughly enjoyed it mate, cheers for the recommendations. I was in a pretty good mood anyway after the game and Bristol didn't disappoint. We mainly stuck to King Street on Saturday, didn't really seem any need to stray from there with the options on offer. Yesterday we went to a couple of pubs on the same road as eachother about a 15 minute walk out. The Hare on the Hill and Hillgrove Porter Stores. Both were really good. I'd never come across Dawkins as a brewery until you mentioned them the other day, but will keep an eye out in future. How d'ye get on yesterday mate?
Excellent, yeah you can easily spend a weekend in and around King Street, so many options.Thoroughly enjoyed it mate, cheers for the recommendations. Definitely, it was a drag to leave each place to be honest - the old quandary of whether to stick with a place you're enjoying or move on just to experience somewhere else. Shame we didn't know about the bell, one of the lads was back over from Germany for work (hence the visit) and he'd stumbled on those 2 on the friday night so took us up there to check them out but he must have missed that one. Will definitely make a trip back there, it's a great city and must be right up there as one of the best for beer. I knew about LHG, BBF, Lost and Grounded etc and but also enjoyed trying some other local(ish) breweries you don't see up here too much like Dawkins, Cheddar Ales and Yeovil.Excellent, yeah you can easily spend a weekend in and around King Street, so many options.
Glad you found the Hare and the Porter Stores, 2 of my favourite pubs those! The Bell is a good one down that way as well.
The shop I get most my home brew ingredients do one a month. My local bottle shop is putting on "brewing courses" for half a day. I guess you don't learn much but might go along and see what's going on.
It's on May the 7th mate. I think I'll do it. I'm starting to have dreams of getting my own brewery off the ground. The shop I get most my home brew ingredients do one a month.
Usually it's their number of the month..
Did you end up going down, if so what they did concoct?
