Historic Interest
A pub since 1864 and originally called The Australia, the pub was renamed Gestiana after the Porthmadog-built schooner Y Gestiana was wrecked on its maiden voyage across the Atlantic. The pub reverted to its original name in 2015. The bus stop outside the pub is known by the pub name hence one can get a bus to Australia

Very tidy. BBF are doing a nice trade in approximating global beer styles and this is a very commendable Vienna.
My local has started selling this abomination - Doom Bar keg.
I had a taste of it and the only way to describe it, would be like drinking very cold dishwater.
Apparently, it’s to give licensees an alternative to Doom Bar cask, as it lasts longer, as it’s put through a chiller.
Truly dreadful.
Love Spitfire. Found it in a pub in London on draught years ago. Nice peppery bite to it.
Picked up a mixed 12er from New Belgium including Voodoo Ranger, which I’ve never had before. I normally detest IPAs but this was surprisingly pleasant, although I’ve been dealing with major cold/allergies so maybe I just can’t taste it. Will sample again after I’ve recovered.
There are many better alternatives to Doom Bar cask, including drinking giraffes wee.

It’s amazing how they manage to sell quality beers, in beautiful pubs so cheaply.
The John Snow in Soho. It is a fine pub, although the basement bogs are a bit... seasonal.

Reduced in Sainsbury's from £1.95 to £1.50 nationwide I think ; haven't tasted it yet though, tomorrow when I plough through the ironing.
Good stuff, havent tried the brewery's other produce yet. Might indulge.
