Beer, revisited

Popped into the Roscoe Arms today for a quick pint. Turned into a few ; pleasantly strong abv for a mild, and extremely drinkable. As usual, very well kept.

It'd be awful if that piece of drinking history was lost :(

It`s one of my favourite pubs in town.

Incredibly friendly, the ale is always spot and cheap. The food is delicious and cheap ( all veggie though ) and you could be sat next to someone in a suit and on the other side, a crusty, with a mongrel on a bit of string.

It`s problem as I see it, is that it`s next door to the very popular, gastro pub, the Blackburne Arms and the people who go into the Blackburne, aren`t the type of people who would go into the Cali ( my missus and her mates being one of them )

Just got back from a weeks break in York.

This beautiful boozer is actually on the main railway station concourse.

Well worth a visit and pint , while you you wait for the train back down to Lime Street.

Did you venture over the road, to one of the best city boozers in this country - The Maltings ?

York is 100% one of the best cities in the UK for pubs and real ale, plus you can walk everywhere too.
