Bellew fight

bellew can not take a solid punch. haye is one of the biggest knockout merchants in the game, at HEAVYWEIGHT. its a complete miss match and bellew wouldnt last more than 3 rounds. bellew always lets his emotions interfere with his game plan and like to go toe to toe. he would not be able to do this against haye.

he will sacrifice himself for a huge payday tho.
if bellew has to go up to heavyweight to fight bellew then yes bellew will be killed in 2 seconds

if haye has to cut to get down to cruiserweight level then its a completely different ball game

price even said last night that as a heavyweight he was not comfortable at 17 stone and felt he lost a lot of his power, at 19 stone, 19 1/2 stone he feels much better

weight is so crucial to a boxer

david haye dominated the cruiser weight division too, so much so there was no one left to fight so moved up to heavyweight.

I'd fight Haye for a million quid! I could pass the time counting my money while my broken jaw heals.

Do you not know much about boxing mate? It's 90% physical attributes and 10% showmanship.

I know very little about boxing. I do know that if someone deliberately acts like a jerk it does not paint them in a very good light. I'm just suggesting this as an answer to your question as to why some people do not think well of Bellew........

We cut him slack cos he is one of our own,we know what it meant to him living out his dream and being interviewed when the adrenaline was still pumping.
I can see where others are coming from, what would we have thought of him if he was RS scrapping across the park.

Bellew's career really came alive when he was scheduled to fight Cleverly for the title at the last minute , he stepped in knowing he almost certainly wouldn't make weight and created a scene. Bellew acted , in your terminology like a 'complete jerk' and his profile was raised. The fight couldn't happen but almost exclusively because of Bellew's press conference shenanigans he later got his shot , he may have narrowly lost that but his name was up there at world level .

The whole prefight boxing routine is to generate interest and the fighters follow well travelled paths , Bellew knows his and fulfills that role. Something which couldn't really be further from him has a person .

Of course but he isn't , I don't have a lot of time for many of their 80's side but ours well I feel a little differently .

I agree. He generally comes across as a pretty sound bloke after he's calmed down. His attempts to ramp things up before a fight are usually when he makes an eejit of himself.....

When a person wins a world title they become the absolute best in the world at their respective field. If ever a time to be full on OTT and full of yourself I'd say that was it.

I'd still think he was entitled to be full of himself straight after winning the world title even if he was a kopite. I'd of wanted him to lose the fight if he was a kopite but that a different argument entirely.

Funny how people only see what they want so they call Tony out for being OTT (he wasn't in my opinion) in the heat of the moment but chose to ignore the fact that he showed real class with his obviously distressed opponent. Hardly the actions of a bell I'd say.

That was five years ago . He wouldn't make cruiserweight safely now . It would be at a catch weight though if it did happen

Don't like Haye nor did I ever rate him much as a heavyweight (mainly just because of his woeful excuses against Wlad and the ridiculous antics with Chisora) but he would ruin Tony. Especially if Bellew was to step up to heavy to fight him. Silly calling him out but perhaps adrenaline and the occasion got to him.

They don't become the absolute best though, because there's multiple world titles to be contested.

They become the best in the world at their respective Wight category. I didn't say he became the best boxer in the world, just the best Cruiserweight and until he loses the title he absolutely is the best.

I think he means there are multiple belts / organisations so unless you unify the belts it doesn't strictly mean you're the best at your weight.
