Bellew-Haye

Bomber claimed to have secured his children's future on Saturday.

He would do well to remember that their future is less secure without their father.

Quit whilst your ahead Tony laa.

I can't fault the lad for going after one last big pay-day against a superstar like Wilder or Joshua. In one fight in America against Wilder, he could earn as much as he's earned in his entire career. And he would be fighting for the WBC heavyweight championship of the world, the title made famous by Ali.

And although I don't think he'd stand a chance against someone like Wilder, I wouldn't be particularly worried for his health. After all, he withstood the biggest shots in David Haye's arsenal. And Haye is one of the biggest punchers in the heavyweight division, even if he is over the hill.

I don't seee it with Wilder, he looks awful and was down on the cards against Szpilka and Washington who aren't that good. In my opinion though, he and Stevenson are the 2 biggest pound for pound biggest one punch hitters in the sport and it would be dangerous for a Cruiser to go in with him

Wilders potential is scary. His physicality is absolutely perfect for heavyweight. Like I said if he learns to box better and calms down....AND keeps himself grounded theres no match for him. Unstoppable.

Wilder is an absolute donkey, don't rate him one bit. He carries power but that final flurry against a bum in Washington was laughable, he looked like he was drowning. Think Joshua would flatten him and he'd get out boxed by Fury and Klit. Based on the other night you'd have to say Bellew at least has a chance.

American heavyweights always need to be treated with caution. There's been an abundance of overhyped ones over recent decades.

That said, Wilder would do Bellew I think. But then I thought Haye would.

Joshua definitely would obviously, but as others have said I'd go for Parker, as that gives him a good chance - I haven't been impressed with Parker at all.

Potential? I'd have said it's bit late in the day to learn to box at 32 - he looks hopeless at times and must have the worst resume of any prominent world champion. Carries huge power, obv, which would be a worry if Tony got in with him.
Shame Fury couldn't hold it together as he would have absolutely schooled Wilder.

He's wreckless and youre right...maybe too late to change that style

People underestimate Bellew now IMO. He is a clever lad in the ring, I for one believed that if he could avoid an early onslaught he had a chance.

Made up for him, probably a couple more fights left depending on who he calls out first.

Do others think he will relinquish his belt and stay in the HW division now?

From what he's just said on Talksport, No.

The fight was for financial security for him and his family. Nothing more.

He's got that now and wont put himself and his family through it again.

Yep, just listening to it, he sounds like he wants out.

I have just returned from a 3 day stag do in Benidorm and feel similar o_O
