That's my point though, it's predictable as hell, we need to offer a lot more than just crosses into the box. Football has moved on from the 1980's.

I'm no arguing we just cross the ball for a target man though. We need players like Onana to use a presence up front to get up alongside and for the wide players to move inside and link up with.

We need that presence that Maupay and Calvert-Lewin doesn't give us.

Hard to get players like Broja and Nketiah on loan, or even more so on a permanent, especially with the WC coming up and clubs not knowing what state their first choice strikers will return in. Furthermore, the 5 subs rule means teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, etc. will keep hold of youngsters as they have more opportunity to bring them on.

Players like Diaz in lower leagues are probably our best bet.

I agree! And i think scoring goals is a knack no matter what level and momentum is important. Rather take a championship striker who has been scoring then a prem one who hasnt.
