I have massive hopes for Godfrey

Saw enough a long time ago for Holgate. A poor centre back and a handy defensive right back.

Agree to disagree on Holgate.

Obvs meant atm as Keane & Mina are the best pairing.

Holgate isn't good enough to play centre half. He's passable at right back until we can sign someone in the summer.

Tend to agree for me Godfrey or Mina is my first choice, Keane can drop in and out. We are desperate for a proper right back.

I'd play Keane and Mina every game, with Godfrey full back, right if Digne is left, and left if Digne is out or playing left wing. Centre halves work in pairs, and Keane and Mina work well together.

Maybe if we want to do is defend, we need a CB with pace too.

Godfrey is the CB of the future, unfortunately for him he's being shoved around due to poor performances by others.

We're not good enough to play with an attacking centre back. Maybe next season if we get some faster players and can dictate games we can play Godfrey at centre half. This season we need to defend properly first and foremost, and take it from there.

He seems quiet and less involved at centre back. I think he has it though and the confidence will come for him.
