And yet we have what is on paper a god defence
Norwichs problems ran far deeper than bad CBs

Attacking FBs who at times forgot their primary job
No defensive shield from the midfield
Forwards who rarely pressed and let the opposition set up attacks
Tactically naïve and PL inexperienced manager
I could practically guarantee you that we will not let in near as many goals this season even with the same defence because
We have a defensive shield
We have forwards who press
We have an astute manger

A good third of that season was under Silva which probably inflates the goals conceded stat as we were generally much tighter under Ancelotti.

Norwich did have a lot of those problems you mentioned but what I read from the Norwich fans was them claiming he had issues with set pieces which were far more his responsibility than the entire team's.

As I said above, I'm not saying he's crap because I hones haven't seen much of him. I just think anything over 20 million for a defender that just got relegated is a steep ask when you have the likes of Gabriel going for similar prices.

If Carlo wants him then sound, I just hope Brands works some magic and gets the figure lower.

Agree but he looks versatile, rapid and good on the ball. People saying he can play DM and possibly RB cover. Plus it seems like this was Carlo pushing for it so im happy.

Godfrey has the same agent as Holgate and Keane which probably made negotiations easier, its the same agency Rio Ferdinand represents incidentally.
